What is the difference between text(), html() and val() in jQuery?

<div id="d">Hello <b>world</b></div>
<input id="i" value="Anita">

console.log($('#d').text());
console.log($('#d').html());
console.log($('#i').val());

Use .text() for text from users, because .html() can run HTML and scripts. See Get Content.
